It is with pleasure that I recommend The Heart of England School! Last year my son went to the school for 2 weeks and I took some lessons too; the teachers were very kind and speak very good English. My son who was 14 years old attended the course with another Italian boy and he wants to come back again this year amazing considering that he is allergic to every type of school! What about the city Leamington? It is a very quite little town there are no problems of violence or something like that! We stayed with some friends in Warwick (3 km to Leamington) and my son went to school by bus without problems! I hope you can choose this school for the summer!
Hola, Yo soy Mar y vivo en Leamington Spa con mi marido y mis dos hijos. Leamington y sus alrededores proporcionan un ambiente estupendo para aprender ingles. Mi sobrino viene a Leamington en verano, un par de semanas, vive en nuestra casa ya que solo tiene 8 años. El año pasado fue a la academia de Louisa y nos quedamos encantados con el curso y el trato personal y cariñoso que le dieron alli. Acabo de matricularlo otra vez para este verano. Espero que tu hija y su amiga tengan la misma buena experiencia que hemos tenido nosotros.

We sent our daughter Stephanie, at that moment she was 14 years old, for a period of three weeks to The Heart of England Study Programmes. I only can give positive feed-back. Besides Stephanie learned a lot, the school (and in specific Louisa - again thanks!) took care of her. They (she) arranged the logistics (picking-up/bringing from/to airport, host-parents, but also 'simple' things like telephone-card)... all was taken care of. The host-parents were selected very carefully.... before Stephanie went to, I spoke with the host-parents (by phone) as obvious you do worry a bit as parent of a young child. Louisa also took care of Stephanie (and other kids) during the off-site activities like Tower-visit.
I visited Leamington Spa for my agency in Turkey last November. I really liked the place very much because of its warm atmosphere and safety- and no traffic, at least not as much as a big city. As it is a lovely small town, it is an ideal place for teenagers while the surrounding is quite attractive and it offers a lot to do for excursions. Moreover, it isn't as crowded and cosmopolite as London (however it was winter when I was there but it must be true for summer too). These are the reasons I prefer this place for my son or for any other students too. Besides, as far as I could see, Louisa and Charlotte chose families after some serious inquiries and has known them for long enough. I had no problems with my host lady there at all. Actually, maybe the most effective reason for me to choose that school is that I saw they take their job seriously and they are all very nice people you can trust in case your daughter has any problems there.
I think Joe was happy in your school, he said, there was "much fun there". I am sure you did your best to improve his English. His ability to speak is definitely better that before. Thank you again for all your interest in Joe´s work.
My son has been in Leamington for two years and really enjoyed it. He came back much more relaxed about speaking the language, more confident. He was really positive about the lessons and the contact with the other students! He was 13 and 14 when he was in the UK. Hope this helps you taking a decision! Regards, Thank you for teaching me!
